Para definir y/o describir Sabayon Linux, me serviré de Wikipedia que nos los describe como:

Sabayon Linux (anteriormente conocida como RR4 Linux / RR64 Linux (versión 32 bits/versión 64 bits); es una distribución Linux basada en Gentoo, creada y mantenida por IXNAY y el Equipo de Sabayon.

El nombre de la distribución proviene de un postre italiano, zabaione, que es a base de huevos. Logotipo de Sabayon es una impresión de la pata de una gallina.

Saludos.
Aquí disfrutando de firefox 29, pero hay un detalle en este navegador de red que no me convence aun. El homepage o pagina de inicio.

Uno de los homepage que mas me gusto, fue el de opera 12. Donde es mas dinámico y mejora el uso del navegador mismo.

Buscando alternativas, están:

Fusiona la página de inicio de Firefox y página de nueva pestaña. Lo que significa:
1) Coloca el nuevo speed dial en la página de inicio/homepage.
2) Muestra la página de inicio al abrir una nueva pestaña.

Conclusión:

Actualmente uso "homepage new tab" y esta hermoso, mejor que los anteriores y espero que mozilla firefox lo use por default mas adelante en sus nuevas versiones.

Ya se encuentra disponible Firefox 29, la nueva versión de mozilla. Esta trae un nuevo diseño, muy lujoso y agradable a la vista.

La quinta actualización de Debian Wheezy ya esta. (Debian 7.5)

Hola, la quinta actualización de Debian 7 a salido ayer, viene con reparación de bugs y actualización de seguridad. Entre otros cambios, el kernel 3.2.57 a sido implementado, el modulo gráfico de Nvidia a sido actualizado, el kernel backport a alcanzado la versión 3.13 y algunas mejoras en Samba. Para mas información, leer las release notes.





Para tener los últimos cambios, realizad una actualización del sistema, desde el comando de interfase.


$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

También, si no tienes la versión de Debian Wheezy ya instalada, puedes descargar la ISO desde aquí e instalarla vía Live USB.

Debido al hecho de que SteamOS es un fork oficial de Debian, también recibirá todos los cambios implementados de Debian 7.5.

Es Debian Testing y Xfce.

Después de usar openSUSE Tumbleweed con XFCE, instale al instante Debian Testing (Jessie) con xfce, por que este se integra mejor con los temas, iconos, etc...

Instalación.

Se puede descargar el CD, DVD o Net version para la instalación de Debian Testing.

Tips de instalación.

1) El proceso de instalación es muy simple, solo que algo tardado, en lo personal, recomiendo la instalación NO gráfica, por que esta es mas rápida y personal, donde uno puede instalar paquetes al gusto y no predefinidos.

Elegir, la primera opción, como recomendación.

2) Recomiendo desmarcar o quitar la marca cuando este la opción de instalar con entorno gráfico.

Instalar lo básico de Debian.

Si descargaste la versión de 64 bits, te recomiendo agregar esto, para instalar o tener compatibilidad con los paquetes de 32 bits.

Una vez descargado y descomprimido, lo movemos a /opt. #### Nota: Solamente hay que mover la carpeta, No el archivo comprimido.

Entrar a la carpeta donde se encuentra firefox.
# cd /Descargas

Mover a opt.
# mv firefox /opt/

Y creamos un enlace a la carpeta /usr/bin.

# ln -s /opt/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/firefox

Editar Fstab

nano /etc/fstab

/dev/sdbX /media/nombre del disco o medio externo ntfs-3g defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0


En mi caso es



/dev/sdb1 /media/kik1n/Bomb ntfs-3g defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
/dev/sda2 /media/kik1n/Lied ntfs-3g defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
/dev/sda4 /media/kik1n/Hangar18 ntfs-3g defaults,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0

Pulseaudio.

Al instalar pulseaudio, si tienes problemas edita esto.

vim /etc/default/pulseaudio
PULSEAUDIO_SYSTEM_START=0

Aquí cambiar por un "1" el "0".
PULSEAUDIO_SYSTEM_START=1

Network Manager

Si no se activa el icono de NetworkManager en el escritorio, edita esto.

nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf
[ifupdown]
#managed=false
managed=true

Cambiar "false" por "true".

Agregar tu usuario a sudo.

nano /etc/sudoers

nombredelusuario ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL

Grub

En lo personal no me gusta que solo tenga 5 segundos el grub, así que lo cambio a 50, así me da tiempo para pensar que S.O. voy a usar. Jaja.

nano /etc/default/grub
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5

Cambiar en "GRUB_TIMEOUT=5" por "GRUB_TIMEOUT=50"

Una vez cambiado esto y salir de la edición usar esto.

# update-grub

Modificar el Prompt

nano .bashrc
PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}[�33[01;32m]u@h[�33[00m]:[�33[01;34m]w[�33[00m]$ '


sudo nano /root/.bashrc
PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}[�33[01;31m]u@h[�33[00m]:[�33[01;34m]w[�33[00m]$ '

Y así luce mi escritorio.
